Not every library in the country shut down for the pandemic, but pretty close. The American Library Association reports 99% of public libraries were not open to the public during stay-home orders.
But now every library is on the road to reopening, and considering just how to do that. ALA surveyed libraries across the country in the middle of May to get a picture of library services and plans for the future.
