Arts organizations make their plans months, if not years, in advance. The Britt Festival Orchestra planned an ambitious season of concerts for its August season on the hillside in Jacksonville, even an offsite concert in the woods.

But COVID-19 and the restrictions on large gatherings through the summer swept the season away. Music Director/Conductor Teddy Abrams has been holed up in his home in Louisville, but not idle.

He and the city's mayor and dozens of musical artists crowd-sourced a song, "Lift Up Louisville." Up in the air is any answer to when concerts might resume, and if the 2021 Britt season is in jeopardy.

Teddy Abrams visits to talk about music, the weird present, and the hazy future.
