One of the major concerns about schools being closed in the pandemic does not involve the classroom. The lunchroom not being available for kids who get daily meals from school raises the distinct chance that those kids will go hungry.

School districts have worked hard to continue offering grab-and-go-meals to children in need. And Rogue Valley Farm to Schools, with Fry Family Farm, just got a grant to distribute fresh produce, for free.

The grant totals a million dollars. Sheila Foster is the boss at the Farm to School group; she visits the JX with details, along with RVF2S Board Chair David Tourzan and Steve Fry from the farm..
