First Friday Arts is normally an upbeat look at arts events coming to the region for the rest of the month. And at this point, we don't know if there will be any. COVID-19 sheltering and separating rules cancelled arts events for months.
So we shift the focus of First Friday this time; we invited local musicians and songwriters to share their wares with our audience. We'll play them on the air and still invite arts organizations to call in with news of virtual arts events or news of novel pastimes.
The response was enormous: nine pieces of music were submitted, and we played them all.
Plus, Grants Pass Museum of Art checked in with a list of virtual events.
