Society is not so great at sympathy for unseen maladies. People complaining of back pain will often find at least one person who thinks they're faking.
And so people with diseases of the mind--mental illness--don't often get fully understood or diagnosed.
Southern Oregon Compass House brings people who have had mental health issues together in a supporting community. And it is from that community that we draw a personal story each month for our Compass Radio segment. This month, listen to hear Brandon's description of living with mental illness.
