The Politics Of Beer By-Products With Sen. Ron Wyden

A change in terminology for beer makers could cost them millions of dollars. 

Brewers often send the spent grain from their operations to ranchers as livestock feed. 

And a proposed federal regulation would require the breweries to dry the grain first, adding considerable costs to them--and potentially, to each bottle of beer.  Oregon Senator Ron Wydenco-chairs the craft brewers caucus in the Senate.  He joins us to talk about the proposal and what he's doing to turn it back.
