Earth Day Observed By "Walk For The Planet"

NASA/Public Domain

44 years after the first Earth Day, a few things are different.

We no longer fear blowing up the planet with nuclear weapons.

Slow cooking it, though... there's plenty of concern about that.  The annual Earth Day observance in Ashland will include a new event called "Walk For The Planet 2014," a project of Southern Oregon Climate Action Now (SOCAN).

SOCAN's Alan Journet lays out the plan for the walk, and the super heroes and villains who will be included.
