The Klamath-Siskiyou Mountains make up the southwestern-most corner of Oregon and extend into adjacent California. Jeff LaLande will address the rugged geography, the complex geological history, and the stunning biological diversity of what are Oregon’s least-known mountains. Past human activities that were once significant in the still-remote terrain will also be discussed at this program. The monthly Windows in Time lunchtime lectures feature well-known writers and historians and bring alive the people, values, and events that shaped our southern Oregon heritage.
