Suzanne Gordon & Steve Early of Richmond, CA, at this free public forum, will lead a discussion of what can done to defend the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Medicare from privatization and how health care for all can be instituted. Privatization of both the VA and Medicare has been threatened by the Trump Administration and Congress. Suzanne Gordon is a member of the Veterans Heathcare Policy Institute and is Author of "Wounds of War: How the VA Delivers Health, Healing, and Hope to the Nation's Veterans." Steve Early, Suzanne's husband, is a leader of the Communications Workers of America and has worked with Jobs with Justice and Labor for Bernie. They will discuss their new book, "Courage or Complicity: How Veterans Are Responding to the Assault on Democracy."
