Authors & activists Suzanne Gordon and Steve Early of Richmond, CA, will discuss what can be done to defend the Department of Veterans Affairs (the VA) and Medicare, which are under the threat of privatization by the Trump Administration and Congress. Suzanne Gordon is a member of Veterans Healthcare Policy Institute and author of "Wounds of War: How the VA Delivers Health, Healing, and Hope to the Nation's Veterans. Steve Early is a long-time single-payer activist and union leader with Communications Workers of America and Jobs With Justice. They will discuss their new book, "Courage or Complicity: How Veterans Are Responding to the Assault on Democracy."
