Troon Vineyard, at 1475 Kubli Road, in the Applegate, provides the beautiful mountain-view setting and the delicious, organic wine for the Siskiyou Crest Coalition’s fundraising event on June 7, from 1:00-7:00 pm.
All funds raised will go toward supporting the goal of the Siskiyou Crest Coalition: to find permanent protections for the public lands of the Siskiyou Crest, safeguarding these ecologically rich, climatically important, botanically diverse, inspirationally beautiful, and tourist-attracting lands from logging, mining, road-building, and other detrimental incursions.
“The glorious beauty of Troon vineyard combined with terrific talks and walks, and great food and wine? Not to be missed!” says Liza Crosse, member of the Siskiyou Crest Coalition.
For the $50 ticket price, attendees will enjoy an artisan pizza dinner by Chef Carl, of Wilder Cooking; a glass of Troon’s spectacular wine; and participation in a host of activities during the day.
Speakers include biologist and writer Pepper Trail, botanical expert Kristi Mergenthaler, and Applegate Siskiyou Alliance’s executive director, Luke Ruediger, each with an individual niche of knowledge about the Siskiyou Crest.
Four walking tours augment the sitting-and-listening parts of the program.
