Singin' in the Rain of Blessings

Singin' in the Rain of Blessings

Singin’ in the Rain of Blessings: The Songs of the Shangpa Masters

A Weekend Retreat with Lama Sarah Harding

Saturday & Sunday, April 18th - 19th

10:00 am – noon & 2:00 – 4:00 pm

"Songs of Experience" are an unusual form of poetics from the meditation masters of Tibet, expressing subjective experiences of the spiritual path. They celebrate spiritual accomplishment, but often reveal feelings of struggle & even failure. Whether celebration or struggle, they are sources of inspiration to aspiring practitioners.

We will focus on some early songs of Khyungpo Naljor, founder of the Shangpa tradition, and some from his two remarkable teachers, Niguma and Sukhasiddhi. And we will include some newly-translated songs to put into practice from those early sources.
