Rhianna Simes (wry-anna, Sims) recently retired from 10 years as an instructor at the OSU Extension Service, where she developed the Land Steward program, and also coordinated the Master Gardener program. Rhianna earned a Master’s of Science in Education and Botany from SOU in Ashland. Rhianna lives with her husband and two young children outside Talent, OR where they operate their own organic farm called Verdant Phoenix Farm & Nursery (verdantphoenix.com) which specializes in organic plant starts, basketry willow, perennial food, healthy soil and natural farming.
