Join SFI and the Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve for our annual Perseids Watch Party! Free and fun for the whole family. An Oregon Caves Park Ranger will introduce us to the beauty of the night sky during the peak of this stellar natural phenomenon, when a potential 110 meteors per hour may be viewed blazing across our night sky. Learn about the stars and planets, and see the wonder of this once a year event. SFI's dark skies make for excellent visibility; please arrive between 8:30 and 9 PM to enjoy the gathering twilight and allow your eyes time to adjust for best viewing. Please bring: camp chair or blanket to lay on, a warm beverage or water, curiosity, and a red-light flashlight.
