Join Ranger Meaghen O'Rourke on a lovely hike along the Pacific Crest Trail from Hyatt Lake to Little Hyatt Reservoir. This moderately challenging 3.0-mile out-and-back will reward hikers with peaceful scenery as we learn more about the ecosystem around the trail. Along the way, we will enjoy shady sections of the trail with views of wildflowers and butterflies. Towards the end, we'll be treated to picturesque views of the reservoir, adding an extra touch of serenity to the journey.

We will meet at 9am at the Rite Aid in Ashland located at 2341 Ashland Street, and make our way into the Monument from there. Please bring water, snacks and a lunch. Hiking boots are recommended.

The Friends of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument is a nonprofit organization and our mission is to support the protection, restoration and conservation of the monument through service, advocacy and education.

Our programs are designed to introduce the public to different topics about and locations within the Monument. They are co-created with local scientists, historians, artists, students, and more.
