The North Coast Choral Artists, led by artistic director Rachel Samet, will present a distinctive and inspiring choral program. Designed for experienced choral singers, NCCA is able to achieve a very high level of artistry within an intensive two-week rehearsal time. The concert is inspired by its moving final piece, “The Promise of Living,” which comes from Aaron Copland's opera "The Tender Land." The piece embraces themes of harvest, tradition, and community, and these sentiments can be heard throughout the concert in diverse works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Joan Szymko, Susan LaBarr, Sarah Quartel, and more.
