Humboldt Amateur Radio Club Field Day
Ham radio operators from the Humboldt Amateur Radio Club in Eureka will be participating in a national amateur radio exercise from 9:00 AM on Saturday until 11:00 on Sunday, June 22 – 23. The event is ARRL Field Day (www.arrl.org/FieldDay), an annual amateur radio activity organized since 1933 by ARRL, The National Association for Amateur Radio in the United States. The event is free and open to the public Saturday June 22 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Humboldt Amateur Radio Club will begin setting up the 60’ tall military-surplus mast with several antennas on it at 8:00 AM on Saturday, June 22, 2024. The public is welcome to come watch. From noon until 4:00 PM that day, the site will be open to the public for visiting and tours. Anyone is welcome to come try their hand at using a radio and talking on the air.
