You may be surprised to learn that we can also use Yosemite to better understand the geologic setting of our local region in Oregon! Presenter: Karen Grove Karen Grove is a geologist with a Ph.D. from Stanford University. For 26 years she was a professor of geosciences at San Francisco State University, where she taught a wide variety of courses from introductory to graduate levels. She also did research focused on the tectonic evolution of western California. She is currently engaged in learning more about the tectonics of the Pacific Northwest.
