Green Debris FREE Drop off Days! Reduce your wildfire risk, clean up your green debris before fire season.

Create a Fire Adapted yard before fire season starts by removing the “fuel“ from a potential wildfire.
We are holding 2 events again this year to help reduce costs in removing flammable vegetation around your home. Challenge yourself and your neighbors to bring as many Green Debris loads as you can for each event day!
Drop off your green debris free of charge!

ACCEPTED MATERIALS: Only organic green debris will be accepted. This includes leaves, pine needles, small branches (up to 6 inches in diameter), brush and other green debris.

PROHIBITED MATERIALS: Please leave trash, stumps, logs, firewood, soil, dirt, rocks & treated lumber at home. If you bring your green debris in bags, the bags need to be emptied and taken home.

When: Saturday, April 27th & Saturday, May 11th, 2024, 9:00AM - 3:00PM

Where: Valley View Transfer Station, 3000 N. Valley View Rd., Ashland, OR

Who: All Jackson county residents

What: The Valley View Transfer Station will have the lower entrance open for Green Debris drop off only. The upper entrance will continue to be open for regular disposal services.

Why: Removing wildfire fuel like leaves, pine needles, and small branches from your house and gutters can significantly reduce your wildfire risk and help prevent the spread of wildfire within the city of Ashland. Removing those old junipers or arbor vitae near your home will go even farther to reduce your risk!

Thank you to Jackson County Emergency Management and the Rogue Valley Fire Prevention Cooperative for funding this year's events!

How: Remove leaves, branches & other green debris from your yard, load it into your vehicle and drop it off FREE OF CHARGE to the Transfer Station.
