Folks in Beaver Valley have forgot their manners, even the kids are running wild and the new schoolmarm needs help. The adults ain't any better and it takes the new schoolmarm and the town minister to come together and try and change things before what passes as the social fabric totally disintegrates.
The Greeks have a word, Paideia--which means elevating education to bring out the best and highest ideals of a community. When Paideia is introduced to Beaver Valley in the 1860's, will the townsfolk reject or embrace it?
