FOLK SOCIETY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AND CONTRA DANCE November 4 in North Bend
FOLK SOCIETY BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AND CONTRA DANCE November 4 in North Bend
Join the celebration. The South Coast Folk Society invites the public to their big 20th Anniversary Party. It’s a big Birthday Bash on November 4, starting at 7PM in North Bend. This free event will feature live music all evening by the Outstanding Open Band, and Dance Calling by Woody Lane of Roseburg. The Birthday Party is open to all age 12 and older. Singles and couples, even people with no prior dance experience, can all enjoy a light-hearted evening in the friendly atmosphere of the North Bend Senior Center. New dancers are always welcome.
Contra Dancing is joyful and easy to learn. It’s a delightful way to move to invigorating music. No partner or previous experience is required. Dance instruction and calling will be provided throughout the evening. Wear casual clothes and comfortable dance shoes. Come swing your partner and do-si-do to the foot-stomping music. Join us on the dance floor, or relax and enjoy the wonderful music.
Many thanks to the North Bend Senior Activity Center for hosting the monthly Bay Area Barn Dance Series. The tables will be cleared to make room for all the dancers and musicians in this spacious facility. The senior center is open to all ages and is located at 1470 Airport Lane in North Band. Save the date for this fun evening. Doors open at 6:45, dancing starts at 7. There will be refreshments available all evening and, of course, cake and ice cream.
