Learn the fundamentals of copper engraving from printmaker Joshua Jay Johnson during his Artist Residency at Scavenger Studios. Workshop participants will learn how to engrave on copper plates using a burin (hand tool) and be led step-by-step through this intaglio process from beginning to end. Learn about engraving techniques, materials, and the printing process in order to produce your own prints . Leave with an engraved copper plate, a burin and multiple prints pulled from your plate!
