Conservation Burial: Talk & Walk

Conservation Burial: Talk & Walk

Let's face it, we are all going to "go" one of these days, and conservation burial is the greenest way. Learn about the science and practice of natural burial, as well as other alternative disposition methods, like water cremation and human composting. We will discuss the conservation burial movement and its connection with land conservation and restoration. The class includes an indoor class at the Nature Center, and a tour of The Forest Conservation Burial Ground at Willow-Witt Ranch the following day. Students will be walking along bark-chipped paths.

*Two-part class: first class indoors at the Nature Center Sunday April 6, 3-4:30pm, second class is an outdoor field trip to the Forest Conservation Burial Ground outside of Ashland, Monday April 7, 1-2:30pm

Instructor Mary Ann Perry is a Certified Home Funeral Guide and the Cemetery Sexton at Willow-Witt Ranch.

Register via SmartRec or call the Nature Center for details.
