Many people use beliefs as proxies for truth but those beliefs might take them down a 'bad path'. Megan Phelps-Roper turned away from being a purveyor of hatred as a spokesperson for the Westboro Baptist Church. She poses questions to ponder: Are you attacking ideas or attacking the people who hold them? Are you willing to cut off close relationships with people who disagree with you?
This program, facilitated by Tom Woosnam, will explore her questions as they apply to examples of hateful social media attacks and to our own beliefs.
