Art Exhibit: Minutiae en Masse featuring Greg Navratil

Art Exhibit: Minutiae en Masse featuring Greg Navratil

Greg Navratil
From Gearhart, Oregon he lives in a historical two-room schoolhouse.

Growing up in Denver, he was first recognized as an artist at the age of 7 when he had a drawing published in the Denver Post. This interest continued throughout his school years and he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver.

He creates paintings that concentrate on the abstract and chaotic qualities of nature. The surfaces are covered from edge to edge, and your eyes are invited to wander. Colors are applied in thick layers, which appear haphazard up close, but from a distance, the viewer’s eye mixes the colors to form recognizable shapes.

This exhibit is called Minutiae en Masse and it exemplifies the finest of Greg’s art. While the individual colors are small – some of the paintings are very large. It is definitely, eye candy in the most luxurious sense.
