An Evening with Ben Stott, Talking About Ukraine & Sviatohirsk
Southern Oregon Peace Vets is pleased to present An Evening with Ben Stott at Peace House in Ashland at 6:30 pm Sunday, January 11th. Stott is an Ashland acupuncturist who has made five trips to Ukraine in the last few years and was instrumental in the negotiations that resulted in the Ukrainian town of Sviatohirsk and Ashland becoming sister cities.
Stott, who last visited Ukraine in November, will discuss the situation there and the dire situation in Sviatohirsk after almost four years of war, which started on February 24, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine. He’ll show a short movie that he has made during his visit. A Q&A session will follow his presentation.
All are invited to attend. Peace House is located at 543 S. Mountain Ave. Snacks and soft drinks will be available.
SOPV is an organization for veterans & associates who oppose war but have sympathy for the Ukrainian people in their struggle to maintain their nation in the face of massive Russian aggression.
