Ashland High School presents ONCE UPON A MATTRESS March 3--12

Ashland HS Performing Arts proudly presents Once Upon a Mattress, a light-hearted family-friendly musical romp directed by Paul Barnes. This fun musical plays 7 performances from March 3-12, with two Sunday matinees at the Mountain Avenue Theatre.

Shows will be Friday-Saturday, March 3 & 4 @7:30 p.m. and March 9—11 @7:30 p.m. and matinees Sundays March 5 and 12 @ 2 p.m. Students under 18 and Seniors over 65-- tickets are $15. All other general tickets are $20. All tickets sold online: Ashlandhs.booktix.com

If you think you knew the fairy-tale of “Princess and the Pea,” you may be in for a surprise! Many moons ago in a far-off place, Queen Aggravain decreed no couples could marry until her son, Prince Dauntless the Drab, found a bride. Princesses came from far and wide to win the hand of the prince, but none could pass the impossible tests given to them by the Queen, until the unrefined but charming swamp princess, Winnifred the Woebegone, arrived in court. Prince Dauntless's heart is captured! Will she pass the Sensitivity Test, marry her prince and help Lady Larkin and Sir Harry to the altar? Carried on a “wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the classic tale The Princess and the Pea provides some side-splitting shenanigans” and a happily-ever-after like no other!
