The Oregon State Fairgrounds will host a marijuana growers’ fair from Aug 13. to Aug. 15, the first of its kind since the plant was legalized for recreational use in 2014.
The Oregon Cannabis Grower’s Fair will feature more than 100 growers and 100 vendors, according to a release from the Oregon Cannabis Business Council.
There will also be a live-plant competition to showcase cannabis cultivation. Up for grabs is more than $10,000 in prizes and a feature in DOPE magazine. The top nine plants will be displayed at the Oregon State Fair from Aug. 26 to Sept. 5.
A guest judge of the competition is Ed Rosenthal, a horticulturalist known as the “Guru of Ganja.”
