 Shasta County has been arguably the most politically contentious community in our region in recent years, and County Clerk Cathy Darling Allen has been the voice of stability keeping elections going. 

Citing health issues, she's stepping down from the role after nearly two decades. Allen speaks with JPR News Director Erik Neumann about Shasta County, her time on the job, and what's next.
