Better Health Through Social Justice

Millions if not billions of people around the world wonder if there will soon be a pill or a shot that could prevent or cure Alzheimer's disease.

Don't count on it, say the authors of American Dementia: Brain Health in an Unhealthy Society.

Their focus is less on the medicine than on the overall health of people and American society.

Daniel George and Peter J. Whitehouse choose instead to look at how much health improves when we focus on greater equality, and lifting people out of poverty.
