Oregon Offers COVID Cash To Current And Former Foster Children

Untitled drawing (1).jpg

The pandemic and its restrictions inflicted economic damage on many people. Some will have a harder time recovering than others.

Those include foster children reaching adulthood, officially "aging out" of the foster system. They tend to arrive in adult-world without much in the way of material possessions or pocket change.

Emergency funds are available for young people in these situations, up to a total of $2 Million for all.

Lacey Andresen from Oregon Department of Human Services joins us with details, assisted by Celeste Bodner of FosterClub Oregon.
