Alka Joshi published her first novel, The Henna Artist ,in 2020 at the age of 62. And just a year later she published the sequel .
The Henna Artist, first of a trilogy, became a smash hit, already being adapted for a TV series.
The second installment, The Secret Keeper of Jaipur, features one of the supporting characters from The Henna Artist stepping out for his own set of adventures in Jaipur in 1969.
Alka Joshi visits to talk about the elements of the novel, and the impact success has had upon her.
