Curious: The Oregon Water Futures Project And Water Equity

Wikimedia

The future arrived in the region this year. Climate change raises the concern that fresh water will become even more precious in the future, and the drought emergency in parts of the region foreshadows that.

The University of Oregon is a partner in the Oregon Water Futures Project, bringing groups together to talk about water justice and how it might be secured. Alaí Reyes-Santos, an associate professor, is a key player in the project.

She visited a couple of years ago to talk about the post-hurricane Puerto Rico Project at UO. She returns to talk about water in this month's edition of Curious: Research Meets Radio.
