March is Women's History Month, and Stories of Southern Oregon continues its focus on the region's women by looking back to the women's movement of the 70s and 80s in the Rogue Valley.
In a special expanded version of the segment, we spend an hour hearing the stories of women who made a difference in the region. From the women themselves, we hasten to add. Donna Lee Taylor is a native who came back to the valley and helped women organize in the early 70s.
Debra Gordon Zaslow worked at a women's clinic and took part in an early women's gathering about the same time. Colleen Pyke interviewed groundbreaking women on JPR, and still voices many of the station announcements.
These three gather with SOSO coordinator Maureen Flanagan Battistella for a talk about the history they made, and the history they helped preserve.
