Science took a beating during the Trump administration, but has a friend in the White House again. President Biden says science will lead decisions on weighty matters like COVID-19 and climate change, where political considerations often came first under Trump.

Scientific American's editors recently weighed in on what they see as the top science priorities for the new administration, a list ranging from COVID containment to reality itself.
