Replacing The Manufactured Homes Lost To Fires

The Almeda Fire destroyed about 90 mobile homes at Talent Mobile Estates on Sept. 8, 2020. A handful of residents have moved back.

Many of the homes lost in the September fires in the Rogue Valley were manufactured (mobile) homes, and all were in the district of State Representative Pam Marsh of Ashland.

Oddly enough, Rep. Marsh had already been working on mobile home issues, as economic forces threaten to squeeze many of the homeowners out of the market. The fire burned them out in one day.

It's not a done deal that all the homes can be brought back into the exact same places, so there's a lot of work ahead. Rep. Marsh visits with an update on cleanup and rebuilding.
