Laura Levitt has been forced to think about loss in her life. She is a professor of Religion, Jewish Studies, and Gender at Temple University and has written a book about American Jewish losses in the Holocaust.

Levitt gets considerably more personal in her latest book, which tells her story of being raped more than 30 years ago. She tells a story of the physical reminders of trauma, both hers and others, in the book The Objects That Remain.

The author joins us for an exploration of her thinking.
