It takes a while to process something as big and scary as a fire. So it's appropriate that this is the year for survivors of a fire from two years ago to tell their stories.
The project known as "Your Carr Fire Story: Written and Heard" brought the resources of the Shasta Arts Council and California Humanities into an effort to document the 2018 Carr Fire in the Redding area.
People who escaped the fire got to write and voice their own stories. We get another weekly installment from one of the participants.
