'We Count Oregon' Works For Census Participation

geralt/Pixabay

2020 will go down in history as the year when a lot of things did not happen because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But obviously a lot of things ARE happening, and one of them is required by the U.S. Constitution: the federal census.

Every person in the country is supposed to be counted, so we know how many people we have and where they live. We Count Oregon works to make sure people of all colors and backgrounds are included in the count.

WCO is part of sponsoring an online event with famed labor leader Dolores Huerta. Organizer Precious Edmonds visits with details of the event and the counting effort.
