We are emerging from the pandemic changed. It was bound to happen, given the physical and societal dislocation most people experienced from avoiding COVID-19.
Given that we won't be the same, the preference is to emerge stronger. And that is the goal of Communities Are Stronger Together (CAST), an Ashland-born project to celebrate people and organizations rolling with the changes for positive effect.
This week we focus on education, with reps from the Ashland School District. They had to figure out how to keep students engaged, educated, and fed while they were barred from entering school buildings.
Our guests: Interim Superintendent Steve Retzlaff, Nutrition Services Director Christina Lehman, Walker Elementary School Principal Tiffany Burns, Ashland Middle School Principal Katherine Holden, and Ashland Schools Foundation Director Susan Bacon.
