How To Talk About Race With Children

WiLPrZ, CC BY-SA 2.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=40528832

This is an excellent moment in history for parents to talk to their children honestly about race in America.

Mike and Emily Green have been talking for years about how to have such conversations. They live in the Rogue Valley, in a racially a mixed marriage with a blended family. They return to the Exchange to provide some guidance to parents on the subject matter, prior to a new series of events starting on Friday, June 19th, or "Juneteenth."

We are also joined by Becca Laroi, the Administrator for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Ashland Schools. We talk about broaching the subject of races and demonstrations, police and the president.
