Jefferson Public Radio and the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University have teamed up to present the One World Performance Series. The series features an eclectic mix of both established and emerging musicians touring the West Coast.All events take place at the intimate 430-seat Music Recital Hall on the SOU Ashland campus. The One World Performance Series will be hosting additional artists throughout the year, so stay tuned to JPR for future additions to the series. CANCELLED - JPR Presents: The Weepies One World Concert March 28th at SOU Recital Hall

JPR and the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University present The Weepies in concert Saturday, March 28th at the SOU Music Recital Hall in Ashland at 8pm.

Husband and wife duo, Deb Talan and Steve Tannen are known for their heartfelt lyrics and distinctive harmonies. NPR says "Deb Talan and Steve Tannen couldn't write a bad song if they tried. As the folk-pop duo The Weepies, the two have found their groove with a comforting synthesis of husky vocals and springy guitar that makes any combination of words and melodies shine like gold." Both singer-songwriters, each has won critical acclaim for their solo work and as a duo. Their most recent album “Sirens” was recorded while Deb was battling breast cancer and was released in 2015.
