With roots in Birmingham, Alabama, his musical journey led him into the heart of the American Southwest. It was in this vast expanse of desolation and beauty that Alex found not just inspiration, but a deeper connection to his craft, allowing the raw, untouched wilderness to seep into his melodies and harmonies.Darien Lane is a singer/songwriter with a vintage folk voice and poetic soulful lyrics. Her unique sound has been described as feral folk. Darien transmutes natural elements and heavy emotions into ethereal melodies, each performance is a chance to witness her bare her soul. She is currently working on her debut album and draws influence from Vashti Bunyan, Lucinda Williams and Big Thief. Whether busking on the street, sharing songs around a fire or performing on stage, her creations of earth centric verse and twangy tunes are sure to pull at the heartstrings
Vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Anna Moss hails from the verdant forests and lush limestone of the Ozarks; yet her musical personality oozes New Orleans, the artist’s adopted hometown for several years. Beginning in 2020, a deep pandemic depression sent Moss spiraling inward for months. Isolated in her bedroom almost completely shut-off from the world, she accidentally unearthed a medicinal muse: writing solo songs on guitar for the first time. Channeling an inner Crescent City chanteuse, Anna’s newfound brand of stripped-down-soul is a sultry gumbo steeped in Southern R&B, Americana, and Crescent City porch jazz; gritty hymns of humanity, abolition, compassion and forgiveness busked to fruition in the historic French Quarter streets. Her debut solo LP Anna Moss: Amnesty is due in March 2024 on Empire Records.
