Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon Fall Concert Series Performance

The Youth Symphony of Southern Oregon’s 2025-2026 Concert Season opens with a performance at 7:30PM on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Oregon Center for the Arts’ Music Recital Hall at SOU in Ashland. Tickets are $15 (adult/gen.) and $10 (students w/I.D. & seniors). Advance tickets are available at Artistic Piano (cash/check), 112 W. Main Street in Medford. Tickets can be purchased at the concert.

The Youth Symphony and the Youth Orchestra will be led by the YSSO’s new music director and conductor Nathanael Hooper. The featured Youth Symphony work on the program is Scene de Ballet, Op. 100 by Charles-Auguste de Bériot. The soloist is 2025 Concerto Competition winner Amelia Hill. The concerts will also include Symphony No. 7, Allegretto by Ludwig van Beethoven, Morning from Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 by Edvard Grieg, Edward Elgar’s Chanson de Nuit, Op. 15, No. 1, the fanfare from Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss, and arrangements of works by Verdi, Offenbach, and Tchaikovsky.
