Writing Nature Workshop: Writing to Heal

Writing Nature Workshop: Writing to Heal

Join the Mount Shasta Bioregional Ecology Center (MSBEC) for a nature writing workshop in the Medicine Lake Highlands. During the workshop, we'll focus on writing to heal relations with Earth and all living beings, including ourselves. We will also discuss the Medicine Lake Highlands (Sáttítla) National Monument proposal and the importance of protecting this vital water source and sacred land.

Workshop leaders Evonne Ellis, MFA in Creative Writing and instructor at Chadron State College, and MSBEC's Community Education Coordinator, Kayla Marie will guide participants in a nature walk, grounding writing prompts centered around healing themes, and time to reflect and share as a community. No writing experience necessary! All ages are welcome at this free event. Lunch will be provided. Registration is required to attend.
