Title Wave 2023 with Phillip Margolin

Coastline Libraries is excited to welcome bestselling author Phillip Margolin during Title Wave 2023. Title Wave is a collaboration between the Libraries in Coos and Curry County that seeks to highlight authors of the Pacific Northwest and connect them to the local community of readers. Title Wave 2023 will run from Wednesday, May 17 through Friday, May 19. The schedule is as follows:

• Wednesday, May 17 at 7:00 PM at Curry Public Library, Gold Beach
Author talk, Q&A, and book signing hosted by the Curry Public Library in Gold Beach on behalf of Curry County libraries. The first 30 attendees will receive a free copy of Margolin’s latest thriller, Murder at Black Oaks.

• Thursday, May 18 at 7:00 PM at Sprague Community Theater, Bandon
Author talk, Q&A, and book signing hosted by the Bandon Public Library on behalf of Coos County libraries. Books will be available for sale from WinterRiver Books & Gallery.

• Friday, May 19 at 11:00 AM at Wildflour Public House (Ticketed event), North Bend
Ticketed author luncheon provided by Wildflour Public House, featuring an author talk, Q&A, and book signing hosted by the North Bend Public Library and Coos Bay Public Library on behalf of Coos County libraries. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Coos Libraries or at https://titlewaveluncheon2023.eventbrite.com. Attendees can purchase Murder at Black Oaks from Books by the Bay on location at the luncheon.

• Friday, May 19 at 7:00 PM at Marshfield Auditorium, Coos Bay
Author talk, Q&A, and book signing hosted by the Coos Bay Public Library and the North Bend Public Library on behalf of Coos County libraries. Books will be available for sale from Books by the Bay.

Lawyer turned novelist; Phillip Margolin worked for the Oregon Court of Appeals before eventually moving into private practice. However, in 1996, he began writing full-time. His novels have won numerous awards and accolades, and several have been made into movies and miniseries. He has authored over 20 novels, all of which have been bestsellers. In his latest novel, Murder at Black Oaks, Attorney Robin Lockwood investigates a murder at an isolated resort in the Oregon mountains where she is tasked with finding a murderer among the odd group of guests. Murder at Black Oaks is a "skillfully written and well-polished new classic mystery" that is the "perfect winter read.”
