Sound Advice! is a free monthly, peer to peer, and hands-on introduction to hearing loops put on by The Shedd’s Hearing Loop Committee. Practice using your hearing aid or cochlear implant to access hearing loops to dramatically improve hearing accessibility in both public and personal settings. Theatres, including The Shedd, Florence Event Center, Cottage Theatre, and the Liberty Theatre are looped. Many houses of worship are looped. Eugene Airport and the Library are looped. Small loops can be installed at any reception desk or checkout counter. Loops can be portable to take with you to hear better in many settings. TV rooms, computers, taxi cabs, buses, and even outdoor events can be looped. Come join friends with hearing loss to learn about this important and universal technology.
