Following on the heels of the acclaimed world premier of Marc Mellits' pandemic inspired "No Exit" at SOU last spring, SOU's Quintet of 7 Reeds will perform the Mellits' tree inspired "Splinter." Each movement finds the musical characteristics of a different majestic hardwood tree. They will be joined by saxophone quartet Saxistential and newly formed clarinet quartet Panic in the Practice Room.
