Concert organist Adam Brakel performs at Christ Church, January 10, 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 and the Suggested Donation is $20 per person. This is the 17th annual major organ concert sponsored by the church since the installation of the 31 rank pipe organ built by Kegg Organ Builders. The concert will include works by Baroque, French, and American composers, concluding with the powerful Toccata de La Liberation, composed to celebrate the liberation of Paris in 1944 by the Allied Forces. Brakel has been hailed as "an absolute organ prodigy" by National Public Radio and "one of the most talented organists in the world" by the Chicago Tribune.
