On Saturday, April 11th, the Pistol River Concert Association is proud to welcome to the Friendship Hall stage, the haunting voice and wonderful lyrics of Ian George and the Knee Pockets.
Ian George is a prolific and heartfelt folk songwriter, wonderful vocalist and a superb musician who has perfo two decades across the US, Canada and Europe. He’s been featured at the Cambridge Folk Festival and as a member of the Fellow Pynins won the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time duet competition. His intimate and wandering lyrics sung with his haunting clear voice pull listeners into the depths of his songs.
When he gets together with his band, The Knee Pockets, they live by the moto: We Allow A Good Time! Their whimsical and clever arrangements, passionate music, friendly banter, and deep engagement with the audience make their shows fun and entertaining for all.
The show is Saturday, April 11th with doors opening at 6:00 PM for music that starts at 7:00. Tickets are available for $20 each at Wright’s Custom Framing in Brookings and First Chapter Coffee House in Gold Beach or can be purchased on-line at pistolriver.com for $21 each. If the show is not sold out, tickets will be available for $25 at the door, and those 17 and under are free! We’ll see you at the show!
